Matthew David Deininger DeHaven
I grew up in Pittsboro, North Carolina and attended high school at Woods Charter School. I was co-captain of the varsity soccer team.
For college, I went to Furman University in South Carolina, where I studied mathematics, economics, and political science. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in 2018.
Afterwards, I spent three years as a research assistant at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve in Washington, DC. First working with the section of economists focused on International Financial Stability and in my last year working for the Division Director for International Finance.
In 2021, I married and took the last name of DeHaven. I then moved to Providence to pursue my graduate degree in economics at Brown University.
