Matthew DeHaven

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Brown University. Currently, I am visiting the Federal Reserve Board of Governors as a Dissertation Fellow for the summer of 2026.

My interests are in macroeconomics, international finance, and macro-finance. In particular, I study risk and uncertainty and their implications for the macroeconomy and financial markets. I hope to use my research to better inform policy responses to economic shocks in order to mitigate the business cycle.

Important2026-2027 Job Market

I will be on the 2026-2027 academic job market. My job market paper, “Asset Price Responses to Domestic Uncertainty Shocks,” can be found here.
